"Two or Fifty Two"

Just the two of us, nice thought,but this is the Philippines, and theres never just the two of us, more like 52.

You know what i mean, go out for an icecream and suddenly all those fiends, did i say fiends i meant friends(what a difference one letter can make) and family members you have not seen for oh!, lets say an hour, appear as if by magic, and a simple trip to the icecream palour turns into a mini fiesta,

Out comes the San Miguel, someone has already cooked the Lumpia, the Chicken kaldereta, and prepared the salad, the chicken has been marinated for 24 hours already... how did they know? You have only just made up your mind to go out with the asawa for an icecream 5 minutes ago?

There is of course enough food to feed five times the ammount of people attending, and if you turn your back for two seconds, that curios Philippine item, the singalong turns up

Tom Jones gets squelched out, the microphone gets thrust into your hands, hands clap, canta, canta comes the chant, sayaw, sayaw, as you try to churn your hips like Tom Jones, as the green green grass starts to wilt, so do you, suddenly everyone is up , its the Macarena... so you just get carried away with it all.... and all you wanted was an icecream!!
